What does a donation mean?

• Charity (sadaqah) is giving from one’s wealth for the sake of Allah—turning a generous heart into action.
• The Qur’an proclaims: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a grain that grows seven ears; in each ear is a hundred grains…” (Al‑Baqarah 2:261), a promise of abundant blessing.
• The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Charity does not decrease wealth.” The giving hand is elevated with blessing and tranquility.
